On September 18, 2026, Visiting Professor and Judge Jennifer Kinsley presented her previously published work, The Psychology of Censorship, at the annual meeting of the First Amendment Lawyers Association at the offices of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education in Philadelphia. As featured in the Case Western Law Review, Judge Kinsley’s interdisciplinary research explores the hypothesis that censorship is psychologically counterproductive.

Judge Kinsley is a past president of the organization and was honored to present the Wayne Giampietro Lifetime Achievement Award to her mentor H. Louis Sirkin at the meeting.

In addition to her role as Visiting Professor, Judge Kinsley is a judge on the Ohio First District Court of Appeals.
