Professor Jonathan Witmer-Rich was a guest on WCPN’s the Sound of Ideas, discussing legal issues surrounding 3D printable firearms.  He explained the current legal posture of the federal case against Defense Distributed, which focused on potential violations of US export laws.  He also discussed the potential First Amendment and Second Amendment issues that might arise out of government attempts to regulate 3D printed firearms.
